Kay Rala Xanana Gusmão’s distinguished leadership, which has been pivotal in strengthening the region’s shared aspirations for peace, stability, and prosperity. Secretary-General Dr. Kao also emphasised the value of high-level visits by Leaders in shaping regional discourse and in deepening engagement with the diplomatic corps, Entities associated with ASEAN, academia, think tanks and the business community.
