O Vice-Primeiro-Ministro Eng.º Mariano Assanami Sabino, participou numa audiência oficial com a família real do Brunei Darussalam, realizada no Palácio Istana Nurul Iman.

A visita integrou a agenda oficial da delegação timorense ao país asiático e antecedeu a realização de uma reunião bilateral entre os dois governos.

À chegada ao palácio, o governante timorense, que acompanhava o Primeiro-Ministro, Kay Rala Xanana Gusmão, participou numa audiência geral com o Chefe de Estado do Brunei, Sua Majestade o Sultão Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah.

Durante a cerimónia protocolar, a delegação de Timor-Leste teve ainda oportunidade de apresentar cumprimentos à família real, num momento marcado pelo reforço das relações diplomáticas e institucionais entre os dois países.

A deslocação insere-se na estratégia do Governo timorense em consolidar laços de cooperação internacional, particularmente na região ASEAN, com enfoque em áreas sociais e de desenvolvimento.

The Vice Prime Minister, Eng. Mariano Assanami Sabino, attended an official audience with the Royal Family of Brunei Darussalam, held at the Istana Nurul Iman Palace.

The visit formed part of the official agenda of the Timorese delegation to the Asian country and preceded a bilateral meeting between the two governments.

Upon arrival at the palace, the Timorese official, who was accompanying the Prime Minister, Kay Rala Xanana Gusmão, took part in a general audience with the Head of State of Brunei, His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah.

During the formal ceremony, the Timor-Leste delegation also had the opportunity to present their respects to the Royal Family, in a moment marked by the strengthening of diplomatic and institutional relations between the two countries.

The visit is part of the Timorese Government’s strategy to consolidate international cooperation ties, particularly within the ASEAN region, with a focus on social and development sectors.
